Featuring The Honorable Tom Ridge
Following the aftermath of 9/11, Ridge was sworn in as the nation's first Homeland Security advisor and, in 2003, was unanimously confirmed as the nation's first secretary of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. In the words of President George W. Bush, "Tom Ridge has demonstrated the strength, experience, personal commitment and authority to accomplish the critical mission of keeping his country a safer place to live throughout his distinguished career."  

A former two-term governor of Pennsylvania, Ridge provides the keys to visionary leadership and applies them to the planning and preparation necessary for all organizations to survive and thrive. Ridge is a respected statesman and a dedicated soldier in pursuit of a more productive and peaceful world for all. His presentation promises to be engaging, inspiring and substantive.

TradeRoots is a sustained, national trade education program dedicated to raising grassroots support and public awareness about the importance of international trade to local communities. Through its partnerships with local chambers of commerce, economic development groups, and the business community, TradeRoots has battled the ground war in support of global commerce and to stop anti-trade protectionism in the U.S. Congress.
 
TradeRoots hosts events in Washington, DC and across the country to promote the value of international trade.
