BCLC Programs

With the mission to advance better business and society relations, the Business Civic Leadership Center (BCLC) helps the private sector understand the potential impact that current social and ethical issues could have on long-term economic development, here in the U.S. and abroad. We facilitate communication and collaboration among the business, government, and civic sectors.

BCLC is known for its ability to engage high-level "doers" from the private, public, and government sectors in dialogue and partnership.

In addition to our focus on business and society relations, BCLC offers three partnership programs:

BCLC helps businesses communicate, coordinate, and collaborate with each other and with the public sector and non-governmental organizations on disaster assistance projects and issues

This program brings together corporate citizenship professionals and nonprofit and government leaders from across the U.S. to build better mechanisms to support business involvement in America's communities

BCLC convenes business donors, government agencies, and multilateral organizations to focus on enhancing the relationship between international aid and sustainable market development

How Do BCLC Programs Get Started?

BCLC is committed to building public-private partnerships to address issues that affect businesses from a social and market-oriented standpoint.

BCLC has three criteria for developing new programs:

  • A critical mass of companies is concerned about/engaged with a specific issue
  • The need exists to develop a public-private-community network about the issue
  • Enough information and activity is available to be able to discuss best practices and lessons learned, both of which lead the way for more effective future action

If you would like us to consider developing a new coalition, please e-mail us your suggested topic and your contact information.
