The Mission:

The mission of the U.S. Chamber's Center for Capital Markets Competitiveness (CCMC) is to maintain and advance America's global leadership in capital formation by supporting capital markets that are the most fair, efficient, and innovative in the world.

The Strategy:

The competitive impediments that challenge U.S. capital markets must be urgently addressed through a sustained and well-financed program of education, research, advocacy, legal action, and reform. CCMC is committed to leading this effort, tapping the many assets of the U.S. Chamber, its affiliates such as the Institute for Legal Reform, and like-minded business allies and experts. Our reform agenda draws upon the work of the Chamber's Commission on the Regulation of U.S. Capital Markets and other similar efforts comprised of many initiatives directed toward four principal GOALS which incorporate a dozen key STRATEGIES:

1.   Establish Modern & Coherent Financial Services Regulatory Structure

2.  Implement Global Corporate Financial Reporting Model

3.  Restore Fairness to Legal, Regulatory, & Enforcement Processes

4.  Promote Innovation & Long-Term Interests of ALL Investors
