WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Suzanne Clark, President and CEO of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Joshua Bolten, President & CEO of Business Roundtable, and Jay Timmons, President and CEO of the National Association of Manufacturers, issued the following statement:
Currently, EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization) will be changed drastically, which will hurt capital-intensive businesses, making it more difficult for them to raise capital for investment and employ workers. If this tax increase moves forward, it will threaten small businesses, jobs and economic growth.

The Q2 2021 MetLife and U.S. Chamber of Commerce Small Business Index finds that small business owners are more optimistic.
WASHINGTON, D.C. - The following statement can be attributed to Neil Bradley, executive vice president and chief policy officer, U.S. Chamber of Commerce, regarding bills introduced today in the House Judiciary Committee. “Bills that target specific companies, instead of focusing on business practices, are simply bad policy and are fundamentally unfair and could be ruled unconstitutional. Further, efforts made by these bills to use antitrust law to supplant the role of regulation are equally misguided.”
