WASHINGTON, D.C. - The U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Global Innovation Policy Center (GIPC) issued the following statement from Senior Vice President Patrick Kilbride regarding the World Trade Organization (WTO) General Council’s discussion of a proposed waiver of intellectual property (IP) commitments in the Trade Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS) Agreement.
WASHINGTON, D.C. - The following statement can be attributed to Neil Bradley, executive vice president and chief policy officer, U.S. Chamber of Commerce.“Since the introduction of the American Rescue Plan, we have learned that personal savings have grown substantially with Americans saving almost $3 trillion since the pandemic began, and the majority of states have not suffered a significant loss in tax revenue, and some have more revenue than pre-pandemic.
More than a year into the COVID-19 pandemic the rollout of vaccines has taken center stage, but the rapid tests that have been developed to determine who is infected remain critical to reducing the spread and beating the pandemic.
