WASHINGTON, D.C. - The U.S. Chamber of Commerce strongly opposes H.R. 3, the “Lower Drug Costs Now Act of 2019,” which imposes government set price controls on prescription drugs. Members of Congress that refrain from cosponsoring this misguided legislation will receive credit for the Leadership component of the Chamber's “How They Voted” legislative scorecard. The following statement can be attributed to Neil Bradley, Executive Vice President and Chief Policy Officer, U.S. Chamber of Commerce:
“We applaud Senator Cornyn, Senator Sinema, Representative Cuellar, and Representative Gonzales for their leadership in introducing the Bipartisan Border Solutions Act of 2021. The sharp increase in the number of individuals crossing our southern border and the severe overcrowding at our nation’s border facilities present a set of circumstances that Congress cannot ignore. Our leaders need to address this pressing situation, and the only way that meaningful policy changes will be enacted is if Republicans and Democrats work together to achieve those results for the American people."
WASHINGTON, D.C. - The U.S. Chamber continues to urge bipartisan efforts to pass an infrastructure bill this year and is encouraged by recent developments. The following statement can be attributed to Neil Bradley, Executive Vice President and Chief Policy Officer, U.S. Chamber of Commerce:
Marty Durbin, Senior Vice President of Policy at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, issued the following statement regarding President Biden’s announced climate goal.
"The U.S. Chamber of Commerce applauds Senators Schumer and Young for their leadership by introducing the Endless Frontiers Act. It is critically important that the nation maintain its leadership internationally by investing in key technology areas like artificial intelligence, semiconductors, quantum computing, and advanced communications. We look forward to working with Congress to ensure this legislation leads to further economic growth and recovery."
WASHINGTON, D.C. — U.S. Chamber of Commerce Vice President of Small Business Policy, Tom Sullivan released the following statement in response to President Biden’s revisions to the tax credit to compensate small businesses for providing paid time off for vaccines.
The approved vaccines are safe and effective.
