WASHINGTON, D.C. — U.S. Chamber Senior Vice President Rick Wade issued the following statement: “Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with the family of George Floyd. There has been much attention paid to the trial and today marks a step towards healing. As a nation, we need to remain steadfast in our pursuit of equality of opportunity for Black Americans and other people of color.
The Chamber advocates for its members by working with members of both parties to advance policies that are good for job creators.
At the upcoming Leaders Summit on Climate, to be hosted by President Biden on April 22 & 23, Latin America will have a robust presence with eight regional heads of state in attendance. The Biden Administration brought a climate of change to Washington, and with it a deep understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing the region. We believe that Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) are essential and that emerging markets should strive to meet their targets and set even more ambitious goals.

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce today announced Justin Waller has been promoted to Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer and that Stefan Freiberg joined its executive team as Chief Financial Officer, reporting to Waller.
