Senator Paul, We Want a ‘Yes’ on the Budget

Hi, Senator Paul. Hope you had a great weekend. The weather was a little questionable in DC. But overall, not so bad…

Anyway, let’s cut the small talk. As you know, it’s been over 30 years since the American tax code has been overhauled, and it's hurting families and holding back our economic growth.

As soon as this week, the Senate is planning to consider the budget that would unlock tax reform. But it may not have enough votes to pass, and if the budget fails, tax reform is dead.

We need you, Senator Paul, to vote for the budget, and give America a shot at this once-in-a-generation opportunity to reform the tax code.

Tax relief and reform are important to Kentucky families and small businesses. Just ask small business owner James Strange, III. He writes urging you to vote yes on the budget because compliance costs are overly burdensome and borne largely by small businesses like his. He wants tax reform to free up capital so his business can reinvest and grow.

The Kentucky Chamber, Greater Louisville Inc., the Union County Chamber, and Kyndle (Henderson County Chamber) also wantyou to take this important step forward toward tax reform. The Kentucky Chamber said it again here. And the U.S. Chamber on Monday also urged you to take this incredibly important step toward making comprehensive, pro-growth tax reform happen.

America and Kentucky are waiting. We want tax reform to be a reality. We voted for a Congress that would get the job done, not make excuses. It is time for the Senate to get something done. It is time for you to vote “yes,” Senator Paul.
