
Anna Burress

Anna Burress is an international affairs professional with over a decade of experience in policy and business advocacy. As Director of Middle East Affairs at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Burress advances U.S. business interests across the Middle East by managing the Chamber’s U.S.-Egypt Business Council and U.S.-Iraq Business Council. Her work spans diverse sectors such as trade, energy, healthcare, and infrastructure, facilitating high-level dialogues and strategic initiatives between U.S. corporations and key regional stakeholders.
Burress has been with the Chamber’s International Affairs Division since 2015, managing critical relationships and programs that enhance economic ties between the U.S. and key markets abroad. Prior to her time at the Chamber, Burress held positions at Servcorp USA and the Circuit Court for Anne Arundel County in Maryland, working as a court room clerk intern for several years.
Burress holds a bachelor’s degree in international studies from Washington College and is the recipient of the Daniel L. Premo Award for public diplomacy. As a participant in the Hansard Scholars Programme, she gained international experience by completing a dissertation on international development at the London School of Economics and through internships with UK political figures, including Harriett Harman MP and John Denham MP.
