Margie Milam joined Meta’s IP Legal Department (formerly known as Facebook) in 2017, and serves on its Domains, Trademarks and Marketing team.  She leads Meta’s off-platform trademark enforcement litigation and domain policy programs, where she focuses on preventing domain name abuse and scams, such as phishing, malware, and digital piracy.

Margie brings decades of experience in high tech policy issues. She joined Meta from ICANN where she served as a Vice President of Strategy. Margie acquired domain industry expertise as the former Vice President & General Counsel of MarkMonitor. She is also a former partner of the global law firm of Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP, where she advised clients on corporate strategic transactions, product distribution and intellectual property matters.  Margie earned her B.A. in Economics and Business from UCLA and her J.D. from USC.
