Suyash Gupta is a global health professional focused on health systems strengthening with over 5 years of experience. He joined the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in August 2024 as Senior Manager, Global Health Policy where he supports the Global Initiative on Health and the Economy.
Gupta’s career began amidst the COVID-19 pandemic when he worked as an epidemiology lead at the Brazos County Health Department in Bryan, TX, supporting test, trace, isolate, and vaccination programs at the Texas A&M COVID-19 Operations Center. While pursuing his master’s degree, he pivoted to international development, where he worked at ICF International on the USAID-funded Infectious Disease Detection and Surveillance Project (IDDS).
After graduating, Gupta continued in the international development field focusing on global health projects at The Palladium Group. While at Palladium, he was a founding member of the global health security subcommittee and worked on USAID-funded Integrated Health Program – Nigeria and MOMENTUM-Tiyeni in Malawi.
Gupta is passionate about building strong partnerships between governments, implementing partners, public health organizations, and the private sector. He believes that collaboration is key to building resilient health systems. Gupta is passionate about global health security, digital health, and health financing.
Gupta holds a Master of Science in Public Health from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in Baltimore, Maryland where he specialized in International Health Systems. He received his Bachelor of Science in Public Health from Texas A&M University in College Station, TX and is a proud fightin’ Texas Aggie!
