The Supreme Court held 9-0 that the New York Convention, an international agreement governing recognition and enforcement of foreign arbitral awards, does not preempt domestic contract law rules allowing a nonsignatory to an arbitration agreement to compel arbitration. The U.S. Chamber filed an amicus brief supporting this outcome
