U.S. Chamber urges Sixth Circuit to reverse lower court decision misapplying Rule 23 standards in securities class action
November 07, 2017
The U.S. Chamber and the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association filed an amicus brief in the Sixth Circuit arguing that the lower courts erred by depriving defendants of the opportunity under Halliburton II to rebut Basic’s presumption of reliance.
Jeff G. Hammel, Douglas K. Yatter, Melissa Arbus Sherry, and Marcy C. Priedeman of Latham & Watkins LLP served as co-counsel for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce on behalf of the U.S. Chamber Litigation Center.
