U.S. Chamber files amicus letter
October 01, 2020
The U.S. Chamber filed an amicus letter urging the California Supreme Court to review decision that disincentivizes HR investigations, improperly expands the scope of conduct that can trigger punitive liability, and deprives of any practical effect the California Supreme Court’s recently clarified standard for reviewing whether a jury award was supported by clear and convincing evidence. The Chamber further requested that, in the alternative, the court depublish the lower court’s opinion.
Greg Wolff of the California Appellate Law Group LLP served as co-counsel for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce on behalf of the U.S. Chamber Litigation Center.
