U.S. Chamber urges Supreme Court to review federal preemption of travel sanctions of states
April 18, 2011
Click here to view the Chamber's amicus brief. The issue in this case is whether federal travel sanctions and federal foreign policy preempt Florida’s “Travel Act,” which imposes additional, harsher sanctions on those who travel to a federally-created list of terrorism sponsor countries.
Amicus brief filed 4/18/11. Call for the views of the Solicitor General issued 5/16/11. Cert. denied 6/25/12.
