U.S. Supreme Court confirms that federal law does not preempt state antitrust suits re: natural gas retail sales

The Court holds that the respondents’ state-law antitrust claims about natural gas retail sales are not preempted by the Natural Gas Act. The opinion notes that the in this case, “claims are aimed at practices affecting retail prices, a matter “firmly on the States’ side of [the] dividing line.””
