U.S. Chamber urges Florida Supreme Court to review legal trigger for bad faith insurance claims
March 30, 2015
The U.S. Chamber filed a notice of intent to file an amicus brief to encourage the Florida Supreme Court to review a decision of Florida’s Fourth District Court of Appeals that held that an insurer may be held liable for “bad faith” even absent a breach of the insurance contract by the insurer. The Chamber’s notice advised the court that it would seek permission to file an amicus brief if review is granted.
David B. Weinstein and Jonathan S. Tannen of Greenberg Traurig LLP represented the U.S. Chamber of Commerce as co-counsel to the U.S. Chamber Litigation Center.
