The U.S. Chamber—along with the Alaska Chamber of Commerce, American Farm Bureau Federation, ConservAmerica, Independent Petroleum Association of America, National Cattlemen’s Beef Association, National Rural Electric Cooperative Association, Public Lands Council—submitted the following comments on the BLM Conservation and Land Health Proposed Rule issued by the Bureau of Land Management.
The Proposed Rule would result in additional roadblocks to obtaining necessary permits and approvals, needlessly increasing the costs of the affected goods and services. It also would threaten the international competitiveness of America’s energy sector by raising operating costs and jeopardizes businesses’ ability to produce and deliver electricity on and across our public lands.
