Coalition Letter on H.R. 8059, the Recycling and Composting Accountability Act and H.R. 8183, the Recycling Infrastructure and Accessibility Act

Dear Chairman Pallone and Ranking Member McMorris Rodgers:

The undersigned organizations support H.R. 8059, the Recycling and Composting Accountability Act and H.R. 8183, the Recycling Infrastructure and Accessibility Act.  We believe that both bills would generate the necessary data and public-private partnerships to improve the accessibility of recycling infrastructure and solid waste collection in underserved communities, as well as to bolster the circular economy across the United States.  The Senate passed these bipartisan bills by unanimous consent, representing consensus support for key incremental progress on this important issue.

We look forward to working with you to advance this legislation by the end of the year and other policies that prioritize recycling and circularity of the economy.
