WASHINGTON D.C.— The U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the American Chemistry Council, and the National Association of Manufacturers call on the President to sign the Save Our Seas 2.0 Act in short order.

This important, bipartisan legislation, which passed the Senate by unanimous consent earlier this week, will address growing global marine debris challenges by establishing a Marine Debris Foundation, a genius prize for innovation, and new research to promote innovation. It will also foster domestic recycling and solid waste infrastructure to prevent marine debris before it occurs through new grants and studies on waste management and mitigation – all of which will leverage and improve the impact of the investments and actions of our member companies.
