U.S. Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Thomas J. Donohue issued the following statement today regarding developments on the health care bill in the House of Representatives:
“Today’s developments were a disappointing setback for efforts to provide better and more affordable health care for the American people. Accomplishing meaningful reforms through the legislative process is challenging and messy. It should be lost on nobody that critical components in Obamacare are failing and at risk of collapse. As political as this debate has become, the impact of a failing health care system on the American people is not a partisan problem. We urge President Trump and leaders on Capitol Hill to continue working.”
