WASHINGTON, D.C. - Jon Baselice, Vice President of Immigration Policy at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce issued the following statement regarding the reintroduction of the Afghan Adjustment Act:
“The Chamber enthusiastically supports the reintroduction of the bipartisan Afghan Adjustment Act. The bill will provide much needed stability and certainty for our Afghan allies that are building their lives here in the U.S. It will also make significant improvements to the vetting process for Afghan refugees, which will make our nation more secure. We urge Congress to swiftly act on this legislation.”
