Eden Prairie, MN – Today, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce announced its endorsement of Representative Dean Phillips to represent Minnesota’s Third Congressional District. The Chamber endorses pro-business candidates for federal office who will vigorously support public policy that will advance economic growth, support jobs, and promote fiscal responsibility.
“Congressman Dean Phillips has a strong record of delivering results for the constituents and businesses of Minnesota,” said John Kirchner, U.S. Chamber of Commerce Midwest Region Vice President. “As a member of the House Small Business Committee, he’s worked hard to support local small businesses in Minnesota’s Third Congressional District. His leadership on the Golden-preneurship Act and the Paycheck Protection Flexibility Act are just two examples of Rep. Phillips’ support for Minnesota job creators. We thank Rep. Phillips for his work on behalf of the business community and look forward to partnering in the next Congress.”
"I'm honored to have once again earned the endorsement of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce for my advocacy on behalf of Minnesota's small businesses and commitment to seeking common ground in Congress," said Representative Dean Phillips. "While it may not appear so on cable news or social media, bipartisanship is alive and well in Congress as evidenced by the historic progress made through the passage of the CHIPS and Science Act, and the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act. I look forward to pressing my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to come together to build on this progress in the next Congress rather than retreating to their partisan corners. Our employers, their employees, and our collective economic futures all depend on it."
“As a business owner himself, Dean Phillips understands the challenges of growing a business and what it takes to support our region’s economy,” said Jonathan Weinhagen, President and CEO of the Minneapolis Regional Chamber. “Congressman Phillips has a proven track record of working across the aisle to advance policies that will help small businesses thrive. I’m pleased to stand with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in support of Congressman Phillips’ reelection bid and look forward to continuing to work alongside him to strengthen our economy.”
