Washington, D.C. – On Thursday, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce announced its endorsement of Representative Don Bacon to represent Nebraska’s Second Congressional District. Earlier this year, the Chamber supported Rep. Bacon in his primary election. The Chamber endorses pro-business candidates for federal office who will vigorously support public policy that will advance economic growth, support jobs, and promote fiscal responsibility.
“Congressman Bacon is a pro-business champion who delivers for job creators, the workforce and all of his constituents in Nebraska’s Second Congressional District,” said U.S. Chamber of Commerce Midwest Region Vice President John Kirchner. “Rep. Bacon supports free enterprise and the American business community, and he deeply understands the challenges facing small businesses and the hardworking citizens of eastern Nebraska. The U.S. Chamber is proud to support Congressman Bacon in the general election.”
“I am honored to be endorsed by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and rated as the top Republican for two years in a row for my work to improve workforce development, foster a competitive business climate, and push back against unnecessary and crippling regulations," said Rep Bacon. "I remain committed to working with the Chamber to lower taxes on small businesses, invest in America's infrastructure, and strengthen U.S. trade relations to ensure Nebraska can continue to lead the way in 2022 and beyond.”
