O’FALLON, IL – The U.S. Chamber of Commerce announced its endorsement of Representative Mike Bost to again represent Illinois’ Twelfth Congressional District. The Congressman toured a local business before officially being endorsed at his campaign office in O’Fallon, Illinois, by the Chamber. The Chamber endorses pro-business candidates for federal office who will vigorously support public policy that will advance economic growth, support jobs, and promote fiscal responsibility.
“Congressman Bost has been a stalwart of the business community for central and southern Illinois, and across the country while serving in Congress. We are proud to endorse him again,” said Ryan Gleason, Senior Manager of Government Affairs of the U.S. Chamber Great Lakes Region. “The Congressman’s background as a small business owner and serving in the Marine Corps is evident working on Capitol Hill, especially as serving as the Chairman of the House Veterans’ Affairs Committee. We look forward to working with him on issues facing in the business community and more in the 119th Congress.”
“Our members in the 12th District know Congressman Bost is dedicated to his work and his constituents, and as a small business owner, understands their challenges,” said Lou Sandoval, President and CEO of the Illinois Chamber of Commerce. “He is both principled and capable of getting things done. We've been proud to work with him not just during his time in Congress but also his time in the Illinois General Assembly. We count him as a long-time ally in support of pro-growth, pro-business policies.”
"I am thankful and honored to have the endorsement of the Illinois and U.S. Chambers of Commerce. As a former small business owner, I understand that our job creators are the backbone of our economy. I know just how critical businesses, large and small, are to Main Street America. I have always fought against the federal government's job-killing taxes and burdensome regulations, and I will never stop advocating for limited government interference in our businesses,” said Congressman Mike Bost.
