WASHINGTON, D.C. - The U.S. Chamber of Commerce today released the following statement from Neil Bradley, Executive Vice President and Chief Policy Officer, upon the U.S House of Representatives passing the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2024, which would fund parts of the government whose funding was set to expire on March 8.
“Americans rely on the government doing its job, so they can do theirs. That includes passing a budget and keeping the government funded and open. We are very glad to see the House come together in a bipartisan way to pass a portion of the FY24 funding. Now, we urge the Senate to act quickly to avert a shutdown at the end of this week and call on both chambers to address remaining funding before the March 22 deadline.”
