With U.S.-India bilateral trade reaching a record-breaking $191 billion last year, the U.S. Chamber's U.S.-India Business Council (USIBC) is excited to announce its 48th Annual General Meeting and India Ideas Summit, taking place June 12-13, 2023, at U.S. Chamber headquarters in Washington D.C.

As USIBC’s flagship event and the premier convention of government, industry, and thought leaders in the U.S.-India Corridor, the India Ideas Summit has become a global institution. Every year, the Summit hosts conversations that explore important technological developments, chart an agenda for the bilateral trade relationship, and highlight how our commercial ties serve shared strategic and economic interests.

The theme for this year's Summit is “Trust, Resilience, and Growth,” and attendees will explore how these three principles are shaping business opportunities in India and creating a new paradigm for the global economy at large.

Trust is what underpins the U.S.-India partnership, and what the business community increasingly demands as it seeks new geographies to de-risk and diversify supply chains. Throughout our Summit, we’ll explore how the U.S. and India’s shared trust, values, and perspectives create unique opportunities for companies seeking to reduce dependencies on single suppliers and explore opportunities in the co-development of advanced technologies.

Resilience is a driving focus of governments and businesses around the world, as they incorporate lessons from the COVID-19 pandemic and forge economic strategies accounting for climate risks and global conflict. Our Summit will explore conversations around friend-shoring, incentive programs, national security, and more to craft a comprehensive dialogue on how the U.S. and India can fortify the global economy against disruptions while promoting sustainable business practices.

Growth is the key economic objective of both the U.S. and India, as both countries seek to create jobs, reduce poverty, and enhance economic competitiveness. As the world’s most populous country and the fastest-growing large economy, India has become a global growth engine. The India Ideas Summit will underscore the role of global businesses in fueling India’s growth story, and as the chief vehicles of a shared economic vision.

This Summit will be a celebration of the achievements of the power of free enterprise, and of the promise of the U.S.-India partnership. We invite you to join us at the U.S. Chamber in Washington, D.C., from June 12-13.  For information on registration, please contact Payton Alley at palley@uschamber.com.
