Marking the 70th anniversary of relations between Indonesia and the United States
About the Initiative
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce, with the support of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), is coordinating a multi-year corporate social responsibility initiative to protect and develop Indonesia’s nine UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Transcending national boundaries, World Heritage Sites hold special significance because they represent the world’s best examples of cultural and natural heritage. We consider it a duty and privilege to help preserve these sites for future generations. The Indonesia Heritage Preservation Initiative will:
- Match American and Indonesian companies with tailored preservation projects that align with their strategic priorities or expertise.
- Highlight the private sector’s key role in U.S.-Indonesia relations and its commitment to preserving humanity’s greatest treasures.
Ways to Participate
- Choose an existing project to fund
- Develop projects in consultation with associated ministries and UNESCO
- Provide in-kind contributions or expertise sharing
No gift is too small. Opportunities cover a range of funding levels and are open to large or small companies—in some cases, smaller funding stream commitments over multiple years are of more assistance than larger up-front donations.
