The U.S.-Vietnam Business Leadership Committee concentrates on market access, regulatory challenges, and investment barriers in the Vietnam market and works with the U.S. and Vietnamese governments to develop a longer-term vision for the future of the commercial relationship. Numerous engagements during the course of the year are capped off by the annual US-Vietnam Business Summit. Workstreams involve the 301 investigation on currency manipulation, the law governing cybersecurity, regulations on internet advertising, and issues impacting pharmaceutical, manufacturing, and other sectors.
The Australia Working Group provides a forum for engagement with one of the largest destinations for U.S. investment in the region. It also provides a platform for emphasizing the importance of this relationship, addressing commercial issues as they arise, and hosting high-level Australian officials. Workstreams include issues pertaining to internet advertising, digital services taxation, pharmaceutical pricing, and cybersecurity infrastructure.
