U.S.-Korea Business Council

The U.S.-Korea Business Council (USKBC) is the premier business advocacy organization representing America’s top companies engaged with Korea.

Our Mission

The USKBC was established in 1987 with a mission to foster better business ties between the United States and Korea, as well as to promote the bilateral economic and political relationship in order to expand trade and investment between the two countries.

It is made up of senior-level executives of U.S. companies from every business sector that are major investors in Korea and are actively committed to the Korean market.

Council Priorities

The U.S.-Korea Business Council has three main priorities:

Advocate for American business interests in Korea with the Korean and U.S. governments, and address problems that inhibit two-way trade and investment between the U.S. and Korea
Ensure that the U.S.-Korea Free Trade Agreement continues to deliver benefits to both economies, and that the two governments adhere to the letter and spirit of the FTA
Promote digital trade and a positive, light-touch regulatory environment for the digital economy that will enable countries to benefit from new business models and emerging technologies.
