Chad Whiteman, Vice President, Environment and Regulatory Affairs at the U.S. Chamber's Global Energy Institute provided the following testimony before the House Science Subcommittee on Investigations and Oversight. The hearing focused on concerns with the Council of Environmental Quality's (CEQ) Proposed Regulatory Hurdle for federal contracting.

The Chamber’s testimony explained that companies are already voluntarily disclosing their greenhouse gas emissions and making forward-looking statements about reducing their emissions. Furthermore, Whitman emphasized that requiring federal contractors to do so would be outside their statutory authority.
