WASHINGTON, D.C.— U.S. Chamber of Commerce Executive Vice President and Chief Policy Officer Neil Bradley released the following statement today after the Senate passed the Emergency Supplemental Appropriations for Humanitarian Assistance and Security at the Southern Border Act of 2019.
“The U.S. Chamber applauds the Senate for moving this much needed supplemental funding bill forward with bipartisan support. The funds will provide support to the hard-working U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers who are taking extraordinary steps in responding to the crisis at the southern border and are critical to the safe, secure, and efficient movement of people and goods at our borders, airports, and seaports. We encourage House and Senate leaders to move this legislation swiftly so it can be signed into law.”
