Today, Neil Bradley, Executive Vice President and Chief Policy Officer, U.S. Chamber of Commerce issued the following statement in regards to House passage of the Copyright Alternative in Small Claims Enforcement Act (CASE Act):

"The U.S. Chamber of Commerce commends House passage of the bipartisan Copyright Alternative in Small Claims Enforcement Act (CASE Act) to streamline the process for small copyright claims and urges Senate action on the CASE Act."

The CASE Act will provide small businesses and creators who are victims of infringement, but cannot afford litigation to enforce their rights, a voluntary dispute resolution forum for right holders.

"We applaud Representatives Hakeem Jeffries and Doug Collins, for their leadership in ensuring that small businesses and creators, the cornerstone of the country’s economy, are supported and protected. Members who cosponsored this bill will receive credit with the Chamber’s scorecard."
