DoD does not have a single contract writing system but we do have a single environment where contracting information is stored, passed, distributed, etc. That environment/system is called the Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment or PIEE.
DPC issued a memo on Thursday on new capabilities that have been added to PIEE that support the telework environment that we are in because of COVID and help speed actions overall. The memorandum highlights two capabilities recently added to PIEE to enable exchanges of information with industry in a secure, traceable environment. Use of the Solicitation Module and Contracting Communication Module by government and contractor employees is highly encouraged due to the abundance of telework conducted during the national emergency response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Solicitation Module also has the capability to accept unsolicited proposals, further providing opportunities for industry engagement.
