“Speaker Ryan’s leadership will be greatly missed. A long-time champion of free enterprise and one of the sharpest policy minds in Congress, Speaker Ryan has played a central role in passing numerous critical pieces of legislation that will make all Americans’ lives better. He deserves a lion’s share of credit for the passage of pro-growth tax reform last year, which he worked on for his entire career. History will judge that as one of the most significant legislative victories in recent memory.
“Speaker Ryan has performed a great service to his party and his country and we wish him well in whatever he chooses to do next. But until then, there is more to do on behalf of the American people and we look forward to working with him in the weeks and months to come.”
