Washington, D.C. — Thomas Quaadman, Executive Vice President, U.S. Chamber Technology Engagement Center (C_TEC) issued the following statement today in response to Senator Jerry Moran’s introduction of the Consumer Data Privacy and Security Act of 2020:
“The U.S. Chamber of Commerce applauds Sen. Moran for his leadership to establish a national privacy standard. With over fifteen states considering potentially conflicting privacy legislation, it is imperative that Congress pass a national privacy standard that protects all Americans equally and enables small businesses to innovate and thrive.”
