Thomas Quaadman, Executive Vice President of the Chamber Technology Engagement Center, issued the following statement in response to two drones rules released by the DOT and FAA on Remote Identification and Operations Over People:

The U.S. Chamber applauds DOT and FAA's leadership on these two crucial rules to further enable UAS integration. In particular, we are pleased to see progress made on allowing routine operations at night and over a moving vehicle. However, we remain concerned that the rules allowing operations over people are still too restrictive, and that the final Remote ID rule does not fully consider the benefits of network-based remote ID. We look forward to continuing to collaborate with DOT and the FAA on advancing UAS integration and realizing the full potential of UAS.
