WASHINGTON, D.C. — Tim Day, Senior Vice President, U.S. Chamber of Commerce's Technology Engagement Center (C_TEC) issued the following statement today regarding the FAA's announcement to delay rulemaking on remote identification for unmanned aircraft systems:

“Remote Identification is essential to unlocking the tremendous economic opportunity derived from unmanned aircraft while ensuring the safety and security of the National Airspace. Every day action is delayed results in lost opportunities for American businesses and workers. We are disappointed that the proposed rulemaking is yet again delayed, and we urge the Federal Aviation Administration and other agencies to stop kicking the can down the road and make real progress to advance the rule.”
